HAPPY HOURS IS A BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN AGES 5-12 THAT OFFERS A VARIETY OF CREATIVE, RECREATIONAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, AS WELL AS ENRICHMENT AND HOMEWORK OPPORTUNITIES.


Happy Hours provides service to any school-age child in need of care both before and after school, but does not provide transportation, thus most participants attend Happy Hours at their “home” school oR families must set up their own transportation to the program.

Our staff come from a variety of educational backgrounds and education experiences. Many of our staff members elect to take additional courses to enhance their credentials and remain current on best practice methods. Staff members also participate in ongoing professional development to continue their education in care of children. All staff must meet AzDHS regulations for their positions including education, experience, background checks and drug screening.

Happy Hours staff plan a variety of age appropriate activities:

What are the fees?

  • $50.00 Non-refundable Registration Fee (one per family)

  • View Welcome Letter for schedule of fees.

  • NEW! Prepaid Pass for a total of 10 days a year also available for $250.00. Ideal for families who only need a few days a year or one day a month. You may purchase one prepaid pass per child. A prepaid pass may not be used for multiple children. See our Parent Handbook for more information.

Due to loss of funding we cannot offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify at this time. We do offer a discount for siblings, a TUSD employee discounts and accept DES Child Care Subsidies. Only one discount will apply. We also offer a 10% military discount with for families with a current military ID.

Payments are due the 15th of the month for the current month of services. A $25.00 late payment fee is applied for any payment received starting the 16th of the month. Services will no longer be provided in the event of non-payment of fees.

STEPS to REgister - registration for school year 2018 - 2019 is now open!                      

Registration packets are available online, at Happy Hours sites during program hours, and at Child & Family Resources, 2800 E. Broadway Blvd, 85716. In addition to the registration form and authorization and release form,  families must also complete the state mandated Emergency Information and Immunization Record in it's entirety and provide a copy of the child’s current immunization record. Registration Form 2018-2019

This form provides registration information and explains our payment system. In order to be registered you will need to complete all sections, select a payment option and provide the necessary payment information (either a voided check, money order, or a credit card number).  (One per family)

Emergency Info and Immunization Card (EIIR)

The “EIIR” form is required by the Arizona Department of Health Services for licensing. We need a separate form and a copy of immunizations for each child attending. Due to licensing regulations the EIIR must be filled out in its entirety before a child can be registered in our program. The most common omission is on Emergency Contacts – please be sure you have listed at least 2 emergency contacts with address and phone numbers that are within 60 minutes of the site. (One per child)

Please read our Welcome Letter and Parent Handbook. Each family is responsible for adhering to all of our program policies and procedures. of the Happy Hours Program and AZDHS Child Care Licensing rules and regulations.

Pay the non- refundable registration fee of $50.00 per family.  Please attach payment to registration forms.

Happy Hours must receive all original documents for record keeping and documentation purposes.

Withdrawal from Program Or Schedule Change

If you need to withdrawal from the Happy Hours program for any reason, or you need to change your schedule (temporarily or permanently) you must do so prior to the 1st of the next month. You will need to fill out a Schedule Change Form and submit the form to your Center Director or the CFR Main Office. You may download the form below:
